In 2019, the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, presented the Charter of the Republic of Croatia to the Clinic for Ophthalmology of the Sveti Duh Clinical Hospital. The Charter recognizes the outstanding contribution to Croatian medicine and health through the implementation of the National Preventive Program for Early Detection of Visual Impairment in Children, the establishment of the National Register of Early Detection of Visual Impairment and the implementation of world-class expertise as collaborating center of the World Health Organization.

In 2019, the collaborating center of the World Health Organization for Pediatric Ophthalmology was awarded the Diploma of the Croatian Physicians Association for special contribution to medical science in the Republic of Croatia.
