As part of the Erasmus+ mobility of teaching staff, Prof. Małgorzata Pihut, DMD, PhD (Institute of Dentistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Department of Orthodontics and Prosthetics) and Prof. Magdalena Orczykowska, PhD (Institute of Dentistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Department of Orthodontics and Prosthetics) visited the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health in Osijek from March 31st, 2025 to April 4th, 2025.
During the visit, the professors presented their Jagiellonian University as well as the Department of Orthodontics and Prosthetics of the Institute of Dentistry in Krakow.
As part of the visit on April 1st, 2025, they held two lectures entitled:
1. "General principles of treatment of temporomandibular disorders"
2. "Stepwise therapeutic procedure for edentulous patients with symptoms of temporomandibular disorders"
to 5th year students of the integrated undergraduate and graduate study of Dental Medicine.
The lectures presented an insight into the therapy of temporomandibular disorders and multiple treatment options. Students acquired new knowledge that will help them in future clinical practice.
The stay of Professor Małgorzata Pihut, DMD, PhD, and Professor Magdalena Orczykowska, DMD, PhD, provided a unique opportunity to gain and exchange new experiences and the possibility of connecting the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek in future Erasmus+ mobility with the Dental Institute of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
