In the academic year 2022/2023. the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek has established a successful cooperation with the Third Faculty of Medicine of Charles College in the Czech Republic. Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project, two excellent students of the second year of undergraduate studies of physiotherapy from the mentioned Faculty had a unique opportunity to visit our institution and participate in clinical practice.
In the past weeks, students Květa Foitová and Lucie Rousová diligently completed clinical internships at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek in Orahovica. Their progress was supported by the professional supervision of prof. Martina Smolić,M.D, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Science and Postgraduate Studies, and Assistant Professor Anđela Grgić, M.D, Ph.D. With the support of assistants Dorothea Bedeković, mag.physioth., Ivan Veber, mag.physioth. and Meri Reili, mag.physioth., the students gained valuable experience and knowledge.
We are proud to say that the students were extremely satisfied with the clinical practice they completed at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek, as well as with the accommodation and catering during their stay at the new Center for Diagnostics and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases in Orahovica. Within the center, the students had the opportunity to work with the most modern equipment for physiotherapy, which allowed them to become familiar with the latest techniques and procedures in physiotherapy and to apply their learned skills in practice. Their passion and commitment to this field was evident in their work and dedication.
Student exchanges under the Erasmus+ program provide an valuable opportunity to gain international experience, exchange cultures and broaden professional horizons. We look forward to future collaborations and hope that this initiative will be just the beginning of a long-term and fruitful cooperation between our institutions.
We thank all participants in this project for their efforts and commitment. Their expertise and support made this successful collaboration possible. A special thanks goes to the students, whose work proved the importance of investing in education and international cooperation.
