As part of Career Week, a scientific forum in the form of a lecture entitled "Thoughts and Advice on Careers in Medical Science" was held at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek on May 18, 2023. The lecture was given by Catherine H. Wu and George Y. Wu, professors at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, CT, USA.
At this science forum, attendees had the honour of hearing firsthand from these renowned physicians, scientists, and faculty members who generously shared their experiences and advice regarding careers in medical science. They provided insights into various aspects of the field and useful guidelines for training and advancement in academia. Professor Catherine H. Wu also spoke about her doctoral studies from the perspective of a woman with a PhD in the United States.
The atmosphere was dynamic and stimulating, and participants were able to interact with top experts and share ideas and experiences with colleagues.
