The 2nd Croatian Neurological Congress with international participation, “Challenges in Neurology,” was officially opened on March 12, 2026, at Hotel Osijek, bringing together numerous distinguished experts from Croatia and abroad. Among the co-organizers of this significant professional and scientific event is the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek (FDMZ), reaffirming the Faculty’s active role in the development of modern medicine and in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
The congress is dedicated to current challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative, neuroimmunological, and neuromuscular diseases, and represents an important platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among experts from various medical disciplines.
At the opening ceremony, participants were welcomed on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek by Assoc. Prof. Kristina Bojanić, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at the Department of Translational Medicine at FDMZ, a specialist in radiology and Head of the Department of Radiology at the Osijek-Baranja County Health Center.
In her address, she emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in modern medicine, highlighting that scientific and professional gatherings such as this congress play a key role in knowledge exchange, the advancement of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and the connection of experts from different medical fields. She also underlined the contribution of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek to the education of healthcare professionals and the development of translational research that bridges science and clinical practice.
By participating in the organization of international professional events such as this, FDMZ Osijek further confirms its strong involvement in the development of contemporary medicine, as well as its contribution to strengthening scientific and professional collaboration in Croatia and internationally.
