On Friday, November 29th, 2024, the training "Conducting a developmental assessment, writing findings and opinions and creating an IEP" was completed, organized by the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek, the Student Union of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek and doctoral student Dora Marinić mag. rehab. educ. (SINAPSUS). The training was held over four weeks online on the Zoom platform. Physiotherapy students had the opportunity to listen to other training participants from different professions about the importance of quality preparation, assessment, space adaptation and access to the child and parents. Some of the topics that students listened to and were able to ask questions about were anamnestic data relevant to a particular developmental age, establishing initial contact with the child and parents, using questionnaires and tests and how to obtain them, rules for formulating anamnesis, observations, test results, recommendations, findings and opinions, how to define goals and create activities in an IEP, and ultimately how to create an IEP that is adapted to the everyday life of the family. The head of the education, Dora Marinić, professionally and clearly answered all the questions asked, citing practical examples. The participants were provided with access to an educational platform that contains videos of all the topics that were covered during the year-long education. Upon completion of the education, the participants received a certificate of attendance.
