The Paediatrics course is based on the introduction of contemporary knowledge in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of children with an emphasis on a holistic approach to children's needs and interdisciplinary cooperation of collaborating professions. The course elaborates on early growth and development of the child, acute diseases and emergencies, and chronic diseases of childhood. The Gynaecology and Obstetrics course introduces a modern approach to the protection of women's health during life and pregnancy. Students get acquainted with the problems of human reproduction, contraception, urogynaecology, gynaecological oncology based on the most modern guidelines of professional societies in the world and in Croatia. Interactive forms, in which the students participate, will be shown in the knowledge transfer, with an emphasis on problem solving using evidence-based medicine. The scientific research and professional work of the members is related to the courses taught to students, and is based on epidemiological research of risk factors and research on the quality of life in the field of all diseases.
