Analysis of student employment after completion of the study programme

University undergraduates in physical therapy have been recognized by the Employment Service of the Virovitičko-podravska County and the Požeško-slavonska County as necessary personnel in the health-care system of these counties.
Demographic trends in our country ,with an increasing number of elderly people in the population, an increase in chronic non-infectious diseases, especially musculoskeletal system diseases and neurological diseases, give us the right to expect an increase in the number of persons with limited activity and disruption in participation in activities of everyday and professional life, where treatment with rehabilitation procedures, conducted by highly educated physical therapists, is of utmost importance as an essential component of the rehabilitation team. When we add to these health states the increasingly frequent polytraumas from traffic accidents, which involve mainly young people, the need for the above-mentioned profile of health-care professionals gains even more significance.
This should be accompanied by the expected further development of the tourist offer in the Republic of Croatia, as well as health-care tourism, where highly qualified physical therapists play one very important role.

In accordance with the principles of the Bologna Declaration, the proposed study programme is structured and evaluated with ECTS points.
