Oral surgery 3

The aim of the course is to train students to work independently, so that they can apply the acquired knowledge and skills in oral surgery, which can be used in the modern integrative treatment of diseases of the oral cavity and health in general.

Assistance in alveotomy, assistance in cystectomy, biopsy, assistance in surgery of benign tumors, sialolithiasis, sialoadenitis, jaw fractures, dental injuries.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Critically evaluate precancerous lesions and malignant tumors in the oral cavity;

2 Compare and selecti an appropriate radioligical techniques for the diagnosis of orofacial diseases

3. Determine the pharmacological effects, side effects, indications and contraindications, toxicity of certain groups of drugs

used during oral surgery

4. Acquire the ability to assist during oral surgery

5. Adopt basic techniques of tooth extraction

6. Adopt basic suturing techniques
