IT Management

The objective of IT management course at the graduate study programme is to expand knowledge and possibilities of ICT use in management, as a component of the development of business strategy in a narrower and wider environment.

The objective is for students to learn to recognize the problems of this area and to master methods of solving them.

1.Development tendencies of IT and their influence in management. Information communication conditionality of business management. Management information system (MIS).

  1. Management information (syntactic, semantic, pragmatic aspect)

3.Human resources in the development and functioning of information system management. Information management.

4.IT management in managing a business system. MIS for decision support: decision making, concept, goals, models, support to MIS groups and business system: vertical and horizontal levels, support modes and data integration.

5.Strategic organization of data and information for MIS: data warehouses and model databases. Examples of the use of MIS. Application contents.

6.Databases as data sources and information for managers. Advanced use of databases.

  1. Statistical application models. Statistical analyses for managers.

8.The basics of human resources management. Design of dynamic models of human resources management. The model of maximising human resource satisfaction by harmonizing employee affinity and job performance.

Techniques of team work creativity and their application in management. Preparation and presentation of team projects.

  5. Argue the role of IT management in business
