PHYSICAL THERAPY OF CHRONIC NON-INFECTIOUS DISEASES

The objective of the course is to introduce the students with the specifics of physical therapy treatment during the rehabilitation of non-infectious chronic diseases (cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic and rheumatic diseases); explain to the students the benefits of evidence-based physical therapy for creating an effective and safe algorithm for the treatment of patients with non-infectious chronic diseases and for the primary and secondary prevention of non-infectious chronic diseases; show the students the specifics, effects and limitations of physical (over)load in different groups of patients with non-infectious chronic diseases (children and adolescents with congenital or acquired disabilities and disorders of internal organs, cardiovascular patients, chronic lung patients, diabetes patients and patients with other hormonal and metabolic disorders); ensure the accuracy of the assessment of the locomotor system and physiotherapeutic differential diagnosis in patients with non-infectious chronic diseases; upgrade key areas of scientific theory of function, interaction and pathology of internal organs, digestive and metabolic systems, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, endocrine and exocrine glands and hormonal control of metabolism and specific autonomic functions of organs and organ systems; show the students the key diagnostic procedures and effects of pharmacological and surgical treatment of non-infectious chronic diseases; teach students to critically evaluate scientific and professional literature and apply new research results in
