On October 28, 2025, a professional lecture on the application of artificial intelligence in the interpretation of contrast-enhanced mammography was held at the Osijek Health Center. This modern diagnostic method significantly contributes to the early detection of breast cancer. The technology, used for the first time in Croatia, represents an important step forward in the development of digital radiology and the improvement of healthcare services.
The lecture was delivered by Associate Professor Kristina Bojanić, PhD, Head of the Radiology Department at the Osijek Health Center and Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek. Professor Bojanić presented the potential applications of artificial intelligence in the analysis of contrast-enhanced mammography, which enables more precise differentiation between benign and malignant lesions, as well as the identification of molecular tumor subtypes. This approach significantly contributes to earlier and more accurate diagnosis and improved treatment planning.
This innovative project demonstrates how collaboration between healthcare institutions and the academic community can lead to the development of practical solutions that enhance diagnostics and improve patient outcomes.
The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek is proud of the professional and scientific contributions of its staff to the development of advanced healthcare technologies and continues to promote innovations that bridge medical practice and science for the benefit of the community.
