The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek recently hosted Professor Gülşen Kılıç from Başkent University in Ankara as part of an Erasmus+ mobility visit, bringing an added international dimension to teaching and professional exchange in the field of nursing.
Her visit placed the spotlight on some of the Faculty’s key strengths: an open and internationally oriented academic environment, the close connection between teaching and clinical practice, and a clear commitment to high-quality education in the health sciences. With nursing at the heart of the programme, the visit created space for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and teaching approaches that directly shape the education of future healthcare professionals.
Beyond its academic value, the visit also marked an important step towards new forms of international collaboration. Discussions held during Professor Kılıç’s stay led to the establishment of cooperation with Başkent University through Professor Robert Smolić, MD, PhD, Chair of the Department of Clinical Medicine and Head of the NPOO project (581-UNIOS-46) PRIM-JET.
This newly established partnership has already moved into a concrete phase, as Başkent University will take part in conducting a survey developed within the NPOO project (581-UNIOS-46) PRIM-JET. The collaboration opens up new opportunities for joint research and future project activities, further strengthening the Faculty’s international network.
Professor Kılıç’s visit unfolded in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, bringing together teaching, professional exchange, and the first steps towards a promising new partnership.
