Erasmus Days 2026 Celebrated at FDMZ: A Mosaic of Experiences, Knowledge and International Cooperation

On Thursday, 15 October 2026, the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek hosted an engaging and interactive event entitled “Erasmus+ Mosaic: Where Student Experiences Meet Educator Development”, organised as part of Erasmus Days 2026, an international initiative dedicated to promoting the Erasmus+ programme, international mobility and cooperation.

The event brought together students, academic staff and faculty members for an informative and inspiring programme that connected international experiences, academic development and the opportunities offered by Erasmus+.

A particular highlight of the event was a guest lecture delivered by Prof. Ertuğrul Demirdel from Türkiye, entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Scapular Dyskinesis Assessment: Sharing Experiences”. The lecture provided participants with valuable insights into the application of artificial intelligence in the assessment of scapular dyskinesis, encouraging knowledge exchange and discussion.

The programme continued with students and academic staff sharing their personal Erasmus+ mobility experiences, including memorable moments from partner institutions, newly acquired knowledge and skills, and the benefits of international collaboration. Through interactive discussions and the exchange of experiences, participants highlighted the many advantages of international mobility, ranging from academic and professional development to discovering new cultures, meeting new people and exploring different approaches to learning and working.

The event was organised by Assistant Prof. Lucija Kuna Roguljić, Erasmus+ Coordinator at the Faculty, with the support of Assistant Prof. Tea Omanović Kolarić, Vice-Dean for Education and Students, whose commitment and engagement further emphasised the importance of international mobility in education and professional development.

The celebration of Erasmus Days 2026 once again demonstrated that Erasmus+ is much more than an opportunity to spend time at an institution abroad. It provides a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, developing new competencies, building connections and gaining meaningful international experiences.

We sincerely thank all speakers, students, academic staff and participants whose experiences, enthusiasm and active engagement contributed to the successful celebration of Erasmus Days 2026 at our Faculty!
