The ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology)/EONS (European Oncology Nursing Society) Congress was held in Berlin from 17-21 October 2025, during which the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek was represented by Silvija Piškorjanac, Senior Lecturer.
The Congress brings together oncology nurses, researchers, educators and healthcare professionals from around the world to explore the vital role of compassionate care in connecting scientific progress with the humanistic aspects of cancer care, and is also an inspiring platform for knowledge exchange, sharing best practices and encouraging innovation in cancer care.
At the invitation of the organizers, Silvija Piškorjanac gave two presentations.
The first presentation presented the current and planned work of the ECCN (European College of Cancer Nursing), led by a working group led by Silvija Piškorjanac, while the second presentation was on the topic of "From Hospital to Home: Nursing Management of Side Effects and Toxicities in mCRC Oral Therapy", followed by a dynamic panel discussion.
