A team from the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek participated in the 14th ISABS and Mayo Clinic Conference: Advances in Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Medicine, held from 15 to 19 June 2026 in Dubrovnik. The conference brought together scientists and experts in biomedicine, molecular medicine, forensic genetics, precision medicine, artificial intelligence and translational research. The programme focused on new advances in the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, as well as contemporary approaches to disease diagnostics, prevention and treatment.
FDMZ Osijek presented research results developed within two NPOO projects: PRIM-JET – Protocol for Early AI-Assisted Detection of Fatty Liver Disease and Precancerous Lesions of the Colon and REVITA – Development and Evaluation of Multicellular Models of Fatty Liver Disease for Testing Pharmacotherapy with Alternative Compounds. The projects are funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the programme funding of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The research presented at the conference included the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, cancer prevention, metabolic liver diseases, oxidative stress, bioactive compounds and potential therapeutic approaches in different disease models.
