Osijek is one of the many cities in the Republic of Croatia that hosts the Festival of Science, an event that participants and audiences compare to a stage on which scientists and students present current topics, thus presenting science and scientific achievements in a popular way.
This year, the Festival of Science will be held from May 5th to 10th and the main theme is NETWORKS. University of Osijek staff and students, in collaboration with 23 primary schools, 13 secondary schools and 10 kindergartens, are preparing 400 activities that will be held online and in person.
The Festival of Science, organized by the University of Osijek, will be attended by 870 participants. In addition to Osijek, lectures and workshops will be held in Đakovo, Našice, Orahovica, Požega, Slavonski Brod, Vinkovci, Bakar; and for the first time abroad (Kindergarten in Vilshofen in Bavaria).
Let us remind you that the Festival of Science has been continuously organized in the Republic of Croatia since 2003. The theme is determined at the national level, is generally universal and as such fits into all areas of science. During the event, which aims to bring science closer to the public, scientists and students contribute to the popularization of science and motivate young people to research and acquire new knowledge through popular lectures, workshops, discussions, exhibitions and other events.
