Silver medal coach Zlatko Dalic and Croatian Handball Association president Tomislav Grahovac participated in the course "Sport and Heart" held in Orahovica
During May 27 and 28, 2019, in the building of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek in Orahovica, the 1st Postgraduate Course of Continuous Medical Education of the 1st category "Sport and Heart" was held. This is the first course organized in Croatia organized by the Faculty and three working groups of the Croatian Cardiac Society - Working Group e-Cardiology, Working Group for Prevention and Rehabilitation in Cardiology and Working Group for Occupational and Sports Cardiology, under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
Certainly, the greatest attention of Orahovica, but also of the whole Croatia, attracted the silver medallist, the football coach Zlatko Dalić, who visited the building of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek on the second day of the course.
On that occasion, words of welcome were sent to the coach Dalić by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Aleksandar Včev, vice dean Assist. Prof. Ivan Miloloza, Prof. Goran Krstačić, Mayor of Orahovica Ana-Marija Petin, County mayor of Virovitica-Podravina County Igor Andrović, Envoy of the President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Assist. Prof. Tomislav Madžar, numerous students of the Faculty as well as residents of Orahovica.
On that occasion, the coach Zlatko Dalić gave a fifteen-minute lecture to the students of the Faculty in Orahovica on the topic "Motivation in Top Sports", which was on the eve of the reunion of the national team that would play on June 8th in Osijek against the national team of Wales. Before that, Dalić kicked-off a match which was played on the playground with artificial grass by Danijel Pranjić, and students from Orahovica against employees of the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health in Osijek.
The two-day gathering in Orahovica, the future Center for Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, was opened by the President of the Croatian Handball Association Tomislav Grahovac, who highlighted the potential of physiotherapy studies at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek in Orahovica. water polo representative Danijel Premuš.
