METHODS OF HEALTH EDUCATION AND PROMOTION OF HEALTH

Health behaviour and health. Improvement of health and health education. Learning and teaching methods. Didactic basics of organised forms of health education and education. Working with the individual and family, small group and community. Nurse – a health educator. Systematic planning of health care as part of the health care process.

The course Anatomy will be observed from a functional viewpoint with special emphasis on clinical anatomy of adults.  In clinically significant fields students have to know the anatomy of children, youth and pregnant women.  Students have to be qualified to find and identify anatomic structures on the thorax, abdomen and extremities they will encounter in their clinical work every day. Furthermore, they have to recognise clinically significant differences that could affect the determination of clinical diagnoses and treatment.  They have to recognise the mechanics of joint movement on the extremities and understand their significance during a clinical check-up.

1. explain the basic methods of learning and teaching;

2. apply didactic principles in the implementation of health education;

3. assess the health and educational needs of individuals and groups;

4. plan health and educational activities of individuals and groups;

5. implement health education programs for individuals and groups;

6. carry out activities aimed at improving health.
