Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- determine the structure and function of the digestive system and the physiology of digestion;
- compare appropriate and inadequate clinical diet;
- argue the pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases caused by poor nutrition;
- assess nutritional status;
- recommend a basic plan for proper sports nutrition;
- select the most important components of the diet plan for patients in the rehabilitation process.
