CURRICULUM THEORY

Introduce students to the theoretical and methodological basis for the development of contemporary curricula, as well as to the methodology of comparison, within the framework of seminar topics, of different curricula from related scientific fields.

Leading theoretical-methodological approaches to the development of curricula (conceptual definitions, curriculum concepts, ways of legitimacy and types of curricula). Socio-political, economic, cultural and legal establishment and legitimation of curricula. Permanent innovation or development of curricula in response to new trends in the world of work and culture (comparative analysis at the global vs. national level). Methodology of planning and designing curricula (objective theory, formulation models, models of legitimation of learning objectives, criteria of selection of content and the methodology of didactic content design, implementation planning, criteria and methods of evaluation of educational effects). Research topics: Research methodology of the hidden curriculum: Analysis of curriculum of selected teaching or educational areas, Problematics of relationship: didactics and curriculum theories; models of legitimation of open curriculum.

1. evaluate the theoretical-methodological approach to curriculum development;
2. review the methodology of curriculum planning and design;
3. select the implementation, criteria, and methods for evaluating educational effects;
4. evaluate the curriculum of selected instructional or educational areas;
5. make recommendations for curriculum implementation in the educational institution
