Introduce students to the scientific way of thinking and bring them closer in a theoretical and practical way to the possibility of research in nursing, as well as to warn them of the necessity of scientific honesty.
The content of the course shall cover the following topics: Scientific way of thinking in nursing. Nursing based on evidence. Types of scientific research. Planning research in nursing. Types of data. Sample and population. Distribution. Gathering scientific information. Selection of procedures for data analysis interpretation of results of scientific research. Writing scientific papers. Publishing the results of scientific research. Types of publications. Scientific and research honesty. Critical judgement of scientific publications in nursing.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- plan, develop and critically evaluate knowledge about the system of thinking and critical judgment in scientific research;
- explain theoretical definitions, divisions and conventions related to scientific research;
- conduct analysis and critical judgment of scientific research and scientific article;
- independently conduct research work and publish the results of scientific research;
- to adopt the importance of monitoring professional-scientific literature, participation in scientific-research work and application of evidence-based medicine in nursing practice;
- adopt the ethics and integrity of the scientific research approach
