MANAGEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN HEALTH CARE

The objective of the course is to familiarize students with information systems in knowledge management in health and health care systems.

Information systems as the basis for the development of the knowledge management system. Business information system. Importance of development and use of business information system. Objectives and tasks of the business information system.

Integration of business information system. Introduction of information technology into the business system. Life cycles for knowledge management systems. Knowledge engineering in health care. Acquisition and application of knowledge. Knowledge modelling – contemporary health care needs. Knowledge technology – support systems for decision-making in health care. Knowledge technology – resource planning systems. Knowledge technology – business intelligence. Transfer and sharing of knowledge. Health organisations that apply the knowledge intensively.
