Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. analyze the work organization of work and the organization of the nursing service in the surgical department, the emergency room and the elective admission of patients;
2. implement infection prevention measures in the surgical department;
3. analyze the specifics of nursing care in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of surgical patients;
4. carry out medical education of surgical patients;
5. assess the medical care needs of surgical patients for health care in special areas of health care for surgical patients;
6. create plans in special areas of health care settings for surgical patients;
7. apply interventions and nursing care in special areas of health care settings for surgical patients in accordance with principles, standards, and legal regulations;
8. evaluate goals and plans of nursing care in special areas of health care settings for surgical patients.
