Anatomy I

Introducing students to human anatomy in an integrative approach with clinical implications. Acquiring knowledge about the basic anatomical divisions of an adult, orientation in anatomical planes and orientation points on the body surface. Getting to know the basics of the structure of the locomotor and circulatory system. Acquiring knowledge about the content of a particular region in the head and neck area, their content and topographic interrelationship. Getting to know the fundamentals of the division and function of the nervous system. Demonstration of regions and their content in the head and neck area on a cadaver. Critical reflection on the importance of anatomical structure and topography in clinical reasoning.

Upper extremities: bones, functional joint anatomy, functional muscle anatomy, spinal cord, brachial plexus and peripheral nerves, superficial and deep blood vessels, topographic regions.

Lower extremities: bones, functional joint anatomy, functional muscle anatomy, lumbosacral and pudendal plexus, superficial and deep blood vessels, topographic regions.

Thorax: bones, functional anatomy of joints and muscles, diaphragm, milk glands, oesophagus, trachea, bronchial tree and lungs, heart, cavities, valves, blood vessels of the heart, innervation of the heart, pericardium, large and small bloodstream, mediastinum, lymph nodes, auscultatory site of the heart and lungs, topographic regions.

Abdomen: abdominal wall and inguinal canals, stomach, duodenum, small and large intestine, rectum, liver and pancreas, spleen, development of organs in the abdominal cavity, peritoneum, blood vessels of the digestive system, portal vein, kidneys and adrenal glands, urinary tract, urinary bladder, pelvis major and pelvis minor, urethra, male and female reproductive organs, testicular descent, retroperitoneal and subperitoneal cavity, lymph glands and lymph nodes, functional spinal anatomy, topographic regions.

    2. Judge the structure of individual components of the osteomuscular system
    3. To determine the basic principles of the structure of the nervous system
    4. Compare individual anatomical structures and their functions within the central nervous system
    5. Examine the content and topographic relationships of each head and neck region
    6. Determine topographic relationships on the head and neck with respect to the most common clinically significant entities
    7. Demonstrate the boundaries of individual regions of the head and neck, and their overall anatomical content on the cadaver
