Mouth Disease and Periodontology 1

The objective of oral disease research is to know epidemiology, etipathogenesis and clinical images of common oral mucosal diseases. Students will acquire knowledge of differential diagnostics and the basics of treating the condition and illnesses of the oral mucosa.

The objective of the research of periodontology is for students to learn epidemiology, ethypathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal tissue diseases. Students will be able to recognise various forms of peridontal diseases, their importance for oral and general human health, and to conduct hygiene and maintenance of the results of peridontal treatment. They will learn the basics of planning and surgical procedures in dental implantology.

Anatomy of peridontal tissue, epidemiology of peridontal tissue diseases, dental plaque and stones, microbiology of peridontal infection, immune response in peridontal disease, pathogenesis of periodontitis, modifying factors in peridontal disease, predisposition to peridontal disease, traumatic occlusion.
