Tooth Disease 1

The aim of the course is to enable students to diagnose and set a treatment plan for initial dental carious lesions, gain knowledge about the complex interaction of factors in the development of dental caries, as well as the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills in restorative dentistry. The objectives of the course are to learn to clinically recognize initial and advanced carious lesions of the teeth using modern diagnostic procedures and to learn methods for the prevention of dental caries. Students must be introduced to materials for temporary and permanent cavity closure on hard dental tissues. The aim of the course is to show students the stages in the formation of cavities on teeth with carious lesions and introduce them to the basic and additional tools for the design of cavities and fillings. Particular attention is paid to the acquisition of students' skills during exercises in the construction of cavities for permanent fillings and their processing.
